Unleash the Power of Compelling Storytelling
Craft a Fluent Structure
Introduce your context
Our attendees are always looking to achieve better outcomes for patients , so will respond best to presentations that talk about how the tool, or data, or technology is making a difference at the frontline, for clinicians and the patients they serve. Balance technical and real life — put in the stats or the technical detail but keep it light — and balance this with real life solutions to real life problems. To “break the barrier” of a sales pitch, keep the focus on the shared vision you have with the audience — to make a difference to health outcomes of patients and their whānau
Present the key issue and why it exists
Explain how you addressed it
Share the outcomes and your learnings
Let us know your next steps
3
Be Authentic and Human
Master Your Delivery
Close With Impact
Speak from the heart, not a script – authenticity beats perfection
Rehearse your talk, but focus on being present — not perfect
Finish with inspiration that goes beyond a simple call to action
Be open and real – sharing mistakes can be powerful and relatable
Let your gestures flow naturally, change your pace , and use pauses to emphasise key points
Provide a memorable takeaway or a meaningful challenge for the audience
Keep slides simple – one idea per slide, minimal text, bold visuals
Connect your conclusion back to the main overarching idea
Connect through eye contact, move intentionally, and speak with confidence
Use visuals to support your story , not overshadow it – let them amplify your message
Close on a strong, uplifting note — like a powerful quote, bold vision, or compelling challenge
Let your passion shine — your audience will sense and respond to it
PRO TIP Let your passion come through – authenticity builds connection
PRO TIP Talk about your slides, not to your slides
PRO TIP Leave them thinking, feeling and ready to act
